Stroke-Check
The Situation
It is still current opinion that strokes happen suddenly and unexpectedly. However, a stroke does not develop in minutes but looms over decades. The most frequent causes for strokes are high blood pressure and arteriosclerosis. Through deposits the normally elastic vessel wall becomes increasingly stiffer, the smooth interior wall of the vessels gets rough. If the deposits grow the vessel constricts more and more. Little blood clots can arise which could be flooded into the smaller brain arteries and close them up. This in the end can lead to a stroke.
Our solution
It is decisive to detect arteriosclerosis as early as possible. Regular early detection exams are therefore especially important for at-risk patients. Early detection of changes make it possible to keep your vessels elastic and flexible and thus reduce your stroke risk significantly.
Our prevention offer for you
The stroke-check gives you reliable information on the status of your vessel channels. In an extensive preliminary talk we gather information concerning your current disorders, your pre-existing complaints and your congenital risk factors. The ultrasound exam includes all vessels – the vessels leading to the brain, the vessels in the abdomen and the coronary vessels.
Special lab checks complete the overall image.
In conclusion we will compile your personal risk profile and your doctor will inform you with which preventive measures you can reduce your personal stroke risk.
When is a stroke-check recommended?
For prevention, early detection and constant supervision – especially for
- heat rhythm disorders, artrial fibrillation, extrasystole
- diabetes mellitus
- overweight, elevated blood lipid levels
- high blood pressure
- disturbed blood flow
- congenital vessel wall weakness
- constant stress
- beginning menopause
- coronary vessel disease
- heart insufficiency
- age-related vessel wall weaknesses
The stroke-check is an extensive exam for the early detection of vessel changes and vessel diseases, with an extensive health consultation for early care.
